Victoria Native Friendship Centre - Primary Care Clinic

TENANT IMPROVEMENT / MEDICAL OFFICES

Saanich, BC

The Victoria Native Friendship Center (VNFC) Primary Care Clinic in Saanich, BC, is a key development in local First Nations community health services. Managed by Christine Lintott Architects Inc. (CLA), the project showcases responsive, sustainable design and efficient project management. The expansion included modern patient rooms, a community room, private offices, and improved daylighting, all fostering cultural respect and wellbeing. CLA managed a tight four-month deadline by integrating contractor Kinetic and key trades early, ensuring smooth communication and swift decisions. Proactive pre-planning with Saanich officials expedited permit processing, while regular meetings kept the project on track. The project finished under budget, allowing extra funds to commission artworks from local First Nation artists, enhancing community engagement.
