Laurie grew up immersed in the world of construction, learning the trade of finishing carpentry alongside her father. From a young age, she developed a keen eye for evaluating the homes she worked on, always seeking ways to improve the residents' experiences. This early passion for thoughtful design naturally led her to pursue a career in architecture.

Laurie is deeply motivated by the desire to create spaces that improve functionality, making life easier and more enjoyable for those who inhabit them. She believes that a well-designed space is crucial, especially in today’s challenging world, where the environment we live and work in plays a vital role in our overall well-being. Laurie is particularly passionate about biophilic design and its positive impact on mental health and well-being.

Laurie became a Principal in 2022 and now serves as the firm’s integrator as well as a project lead, overseeing a diverse portfolio that includes senior homes, medical clinics, office tenant improvements, private school dormitories, and custom-designed homes. In each project, she strives to push the boundaries of cost-effective biophilic design solutions, with the goal of improving the quality of life for both the users and the broader community.
