St. Margaret’s School (SMS), founded in 1908, is an international boarding school that offers world-class education and leadership development for girls from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. CLA collaborated with the board, senior staff and the student body to assess the strengths, weaknesses and unique opportunities of the remarkable campus set on twenty-two acres of Garry Oak meadow and sensitive wetlands. The resultant master planning document, part of a generational renewal process, will provide a road map for sustainable growth and expansion that leads the school into its second century of service to young women from around the world.
