Colwood Peak is a new residential community to be located on a steeply sloping and ecologically sensitive 4.8-acre site on Triangle Mountain in Colwood, BC. The approved plan responds to the key features and fragile ecosystems of the site, through the principles of site adaptive planning, and proposes a low-density, family-oriented development centred largely within the areas of the property previously disturbed by logging. The anticipated forty-three townhouse units are clustered into discreet nodes along a new access road that follows the topography of the site, minimizing their impact and allowing open greenspace to connect the development with the undisturbed ecology of the upper portion of the site which is to be preserved as a linear park.
